As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and support badge and gate procedures that help reduce unauthorized access. You will stay highly visible, conduct routine patrols as assigned, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and guests. Requirements
- Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges and/or passes, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
- Conduct vehicle and/or package screening as required by site procedures, document entries and exits, and report discrepancies to site management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and completing incident reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
