As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Control in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and monitor activity to help identify security-related concerns early. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and Allied Universal leaders. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and coordinating with site contacts for access authorization.
  • Screen and/or monitor incoming and outgoing pedestrian and vehicle traffic by observing for prohibited items or unusual activity, supporting contraband prevention efforts, and documenting access control actions as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations and/or shelter-in-place actions when directed, and preserving incident details for follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, administrative areas, and perimeter routes, and complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal and site requirements.
