Security Management is currently searching for a Professional Security Officer to primarily work weekend shifts. The role of the Unarmed Security Officer is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Security Management establishes partnerships with our clients and strives to provide the highest level of client satisfaction. Each Professional Security Officer is the key to achieving this level of client satisfaction. Our Security Officers serve as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts on the property they are assigned to protect. The responsibilities of the Unarmed Security Officer include ensuring that the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property. Officers are expected to report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing. Building, improving, and maintaining effective relationships with both client employees and guests is essential. Additionally, Security Officers are responsible for answering questions and assisting guests and employees, as well as answering phones or greeting guests/employees in a professional, welcoming manner. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to various environments, including changing outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat. The role involves standing or walking constantly for multiple hours, climbing stairs occasionally, and the ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds. Constant use of both hands and arms is required for using radios, phones, computers, and writing reports. The Unarmed Security Officer must also have the ability to observe and interact with people effectively, ensuring a safe environment for all.
