About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer (Special Events) position is a part-time, contract role focused on providing security services at special events, particularly weddings. The officer will ensure the safety of attendees and staff, manage crowd control, and assist with customer service in both English and Spanish. This role requires a professional appearance, specifically a black suit, and involves working on weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Guard Card license is required.
• Experience in conflict management is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible security presence at special events, ensuring the safety of attendees and staff.
• Manage crowd flow, check credentials, and monitor entry and exit points.
• Assist event attendees by answering questions and providing directions in both English and Spanish.
• Conduct regular foot patrols of the event venue, identifying and addressing potential security issues.
• Handle conflicts or disturbances calmly and effectively, de-escalating tense situations when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with event staff and security team members in both English and Spanish.
• Ensure all security protocols, rules, and regulations are being followed by staff and attendees.
• Complete detailed reports of any incidents or accidents that occur during your shift.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, working with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
