Unarmed Security Officer - Overnight
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Overnight Foot Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, document observations, and respond to routine situations with professionalism and care. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor CCTV, fire panels, and other facility systems as assigned, and document security-related observations and actions in detailed reports.
- Control entry to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and maintaining logs for deliveries, trailers, and key and/or badge activity.
