About The Position

As a Unarmed Security Officer - Government Site in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents according to established site procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized persons from entering restricted areas.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and residents as appropriate.
Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
