About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Full-Time in Annandale, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, unusual behavior, or potential hazards, to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies according to site procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
