As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will support entry and exit operations by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor access, and maintaining clear logs and communication. You will remain visible, perform routine checks, and deliver customer-focused assistance while following site procedures. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or badging requirements; manage visitor check-in and maintain required logs.
  • Screen vehicles, deliveries, and/or packages in accordance with site rules; coordinate with site contacts on restricted items and routing.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document actions taken and notify appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
