About The Position

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner. Requirements

Possess effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of client personnel and the general public in a professional manner
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology for personnel management and fulfilling security duties
Possess the skills to handle crisis situations at client site s in a calm and efficient manner
Work in various environments such as cold or hot weather, rain or snow
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
Must be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess a current Guard Card and any other l icensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations that may be prior to employment
As a condition of employment the candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
Possess a valid driver’s license , for driving positions only
Must have at least 1 year of security experience within the past 3 years ; or m ilitary and/or law enforcement experience
Must have 1 year security experience within the last 3 years with an active guard card
Must have a clean background and driving record
Must have High School diploma or GED or Official Transcripts

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, enforce site-specific policies , and if appropriate emergency response
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter
Work environment and conditions may vary by client site
Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
