About The Position

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to Gastroenterology patients at Uhealth Doral or Sole Mia 9 half days per week. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services to those patients who require Gastroenterology services, and Gastroenterology screening procedures. In addition, the physician will rotate on inpatient services at Uhealth Towers, and Jackson Memorial Hospital periodically, and will be on call weekdays, holidays, and weekends proportionate to other physicians in the Division.

Requirements

• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency.
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible).
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or board eligible).
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing).
• Valid DEA licensure.
• Current BLS certification required. ACLS.
• US citizen or valid visa to work in the United States.
• Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialing.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients.
