About The Position

UMMG Staff Physician will provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases . The incumbent conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services . Outline of additional responsibilities included but are not limited to: Provide inpatient care to patient s at UHealth- Tower Hospital. Provide outpatient care to patients at UHealth- Main campus . Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students. Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.

Requirements

• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
• Valid American Board Certification in Endocrinology (or board eligible)
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements .
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care .
• Current BLS certification .
• ACLS (if applicable).
• Valid DEA licensure
