About The Position

We are searching for team members who are passionate about challenging and exciting work for the good of every patient! This position is part time, days. The shift is Monday, Tuesday and Friday, from 7am-3:30pm, at White Memorial Hospital. It is preferred that technologist be able to perform general ultrasound, OB, vascular studies and vein mapping exams. New hire bonus available for those that qualify! Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound to generate images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and makes necessary adjustments to capture the best possible images. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting equipment as needed. Familiar with current scan protocols. Maintains compliance with high level disinfection practices. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Possesses familiarity with ultrasound contrast indications and administration practices. Provides intraoperative ultrasound as requested.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • For ACR accredited ultrasound departments: Active status through one of the following: ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI as required by facility accreditation.
  • For non-ACR accredited ultrasound departments: Must be actively pursuing ultrasound education and have already passed the ARDMS physics boards, or must have graduated from an ultrasound education program.
  • May be required to meet registry/certification requirements for another modality, if applicable.
  • May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
