About The Position
We are seeking a(an) Ultrasound Technician Intermediate for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The ultrasound technologist operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient and safe manner. The ultrasound technologist must be able to think and act independently and assess emergency situations accurately. Good oral and written communication skills are required. The Intermediate Ultrasound Technologist may be required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System. Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies. The Intermediate Ultrasound Technologist must routinely work within a minimum of 2 qualifying ARDMS specialty certifications in addition to ARDMS, ARRT or CCI Vascular certification as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the departments. This includes but is not limited to; Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echo (FE), Neurosonology (NE), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Pediatric Sonography (PS).
