About The Position

Envision Imaging Hulen is adding a Part Time Ultrasound Technologist to the team! Fridays 7:30AM - 5:30PM | Position Pay Range $40.75 - $52.54 Summary/Objective: Performs ultrasound procedures to adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Assists radiologists during specialized exams to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Two plus years’ experience in Ultrasound – preferred
Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or ARRT (VS) registry – preferred
Current ARDMS Registered Obstetrician/Gynecology Technologist (OB/GYN) or ARRT (S) registry - preferred
Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
Performs ultrasound scans and prints images while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
Assists Radiologist on specialized exams.
Transfers images to other locations as needed.
Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
