Requirements

Degree in Radiology Technology from an accredited institution
Registered ARRT by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
One year experience in sonography applications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Registry or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT)

Nice To Haves

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS preferred

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound and other procedures on patients as directed by physicians and advanced practitioners
Routine and complex studies
Assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures
Perform on all age groups from infants to adult/geriatric
Organize processed images, measurements, calculations, and other data for physicians to interpret
Maintain equipment and order/stock all ultrasound supplies
Maintain department records, reports, and files
Maintain continuing education requirements
