About The Position

Operates Ultrasound Equipment to make sonograms of designated body parts. Responsibilities include knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, proper patient positioning, imaging, film developing for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician physicians as required. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Ultrasonography or School of Radiology and be eligible or possess a current RT(R)(S)(VS)RDMS registry or ARDMS(RVT) registry.
  • Registry in Ultrasound must occur within one year of employment.
  • Requires at least three months but less than one year of work ultrasound experience.
  • May be based on experience obtained through completion of ultrasound program.
