Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMA) registration and abdomen credential
  • 6+ months of Ultrasound Technologist experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Ensures accurate film identification on all images and completes computer functions including appropriate edits, status changes, charges, logging, film marking, and all other technologist workflow expectations to ensure proper follow-up
  • Accurately operates and optimizes use of equipment and understands structure visualized and its significance while positioning patients to achieve quality diagnostic images according to department protocol
  • Documents initial and ongoing data, responses/results or interventions and equipment concerns and/or malfunctions on a service slip
  • Delivers care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served (If applicable)
