Mary Immaculate Hospital is kicking off an expansion project and adding a new inpatient wing, allowing us to provide increased acute care services. We specialize in a wide array of imaging services including emergency services, cardiovascular imaging, and interventional radiology. Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures and techniques producing diagnostic images for a licensed practitioner to interpret. The Tech demonstrates direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Associates, America Medical Association (AMA) allied health training program in Ultrasound (required)
  • Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech (preferred)
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
  • Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen, Breast, Obstetrics/Gynecology (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Confirms the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of all pertinent patient, lab, and procedural data.
  • Knowledge in workflows, procedures, and processes of the imaging modalities.
  • Responsible for patient documentation, procedure preparation and instructions.
  • Documents sonographer's impressions and relays findings to physician.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects and the education of new staff.
