About The Position

Adventist Outpatient Imaging Services seeks to hire and experienced Ultrasound Tech for our Silver Spring, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will: Perform ultrasound exams as needed. Assume responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all patients in the sonographic area/department Establish protocols in conjunction with the radiologists and ensures staff adherence to them. Initiate cost saving measures with Manager and Director’s approval. Demonstrate ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records, and adapt sonographic examinations as necessary. Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided. Anticipates patient’s needs and exceeds expectations. Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician. Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing patient work load. Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and completes associated forms. Follow through on work requested. Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations. Maintain schedule and prioritize exams. Use computer systems (Cerner, Viewpoint, McKesson PACS and RIS) correctly to document patient information.

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • Graduate from Accredited Diagnostic Medical sonography program
  • Minimum 1 years of experience preferred
  • RDMS with AB and or OB/GYN certification
