Ultrasound Technologist - Casual
About The Position
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an Ultrasound Tech to join our team at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN! This is a casual position that will work as needed. There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available. This position will include1 holiday on-call requirement per year. The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care team.
Requirements
- ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 Days
- RVT or RVS registed within one year
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Verifies patient identification and documentation
- Reviews physician order prior to exam or procedure.
- Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate health care professional.
- Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
- Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
- Recognizes structures visualized and understands their significance.
- Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols.
- Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to radiologists.
