About The Position

Position Summary: Follows established protocols and guidelines while performing a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Responsible for the production of high-quality diagnostic images needed to provide physicians with clinical data to aid in establishing a diagnosis. Explains patient preparation, patient scheduling, procedure instructions and process to patients. Communicates and works with Radiologists and physicians in a manner that improves patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a two-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS in OB or AB certification) or able to attain credentials within 1 year of hire.
  • Once registered, must maintain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited CAAHEP program
  • Registry in OB, AB, RDCS, or RVT
  • One or more years of ultrasound experience.
  • Registry in OB, AB and RVT
  • Experience working with Epic and CHC PACS systems
