About The Position

A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist – Vascular to support diagnostic imaging services. This role requires independent operation of sonographic equipment and strong clinical judgment to accurately perform and interpret vascular and diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by CHEA and/or the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) with accreditation in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Independently operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic examinations
• Perform and communicate results of ultrasound examinations to radiologists
• Manage daily operations of the sonographic laboratory
• Maintain patient schedules and perform daily equipment maintenance and quality assurance (QA)
• Exercise independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings
• Obtain relevant patient medical history prior to examinations
• Communicate exam findings clearly and accurately to the interpreting physician
