About The Position

Assists the Ultrasound Supervisor and Integrated Manager with coordinating services, operations, and patient flow in the Ultrasound areas on the Weekends. Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist. Acts as a lead to ensure departmental flow, safety and staffing are acted upon. The responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance and assists with quality, safety and performance improvement projects and audits. In addition, the Team Lead acts as a liaison and preceptor for the department.

Requirements

  • Completion of Sonography Program Preferred
  • 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
  • BR Breast Certification - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound – Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • AB-OB/GYN - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be Obtained within 3 months of hire
  • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be Obtained within 3 months of hire
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 0730-1600
  • Must have some shift flexibility to support the department
  • On Call rotation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • RVT highly preferred before hire.
