Requirements

• One year of formal training in ultrasonography preferred.
• Must maintain registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or provide proof of eligibility to become registered.
• Must be a graduate of an Allied Health training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures associated with the application of ultrasound for the diagnosis of disease or injury.
• Provide patient services, neonatal through geriatric, using imaging modalities in an efficient professional manner and with sensitivity to patient needs.
• Accurately document, file, and maintain patient records.
• Schedule exams and respond to patient/physician questions.
• Perform other various duties pertaining to the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.
