About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist position at Highland Park Hospital is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week. The working hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 am to 6 pm, Thursday and Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The position includes being on call for 6-8 calls per month as needed. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform ultrasound exams, prepare patients for these exams by obtaining and recording their history, explaining the procedure, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort. Additionally, the technologist will interpret ultrasound results, clean and maintain equipment, and schedule patients if necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• CPR-BLS certification required
• Completion of a formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required
• Registry eligible required; prefer Registered Ultrasound Technologist
