About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images. In addition, this role adheres to standards of practice and patient care, supplies, and equipment and for coordinating team work with all members of the health care team.

Requirements

  • Licensed and graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
  • Two year degree in Ultrasonography (Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • ARDMS Credentialed: Abdominal and RVT
  • One to two years of experience in performing vascular imaging and testing, abdominal, Gyn, and small parts sonography

Responsibilities

  • Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Ensures accurate film identification on all images and completes computer functions including appropriate edits, status changes, charges, logging, film marking, and all other technologist workflow expectations to ensure proper follow-up
  • Accurately operates and optimizes use of equipment and understands structure visualized and its significance while positioning patients to achieve quality diagnostic images according to department protocol
  • Documents initial and ongoing data, responses/results or interventions and equipment concerns and/or malfunctions on a service slip
  • Delivers care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served (If applicable)
