Job Description: Our new Urology practice in East Brunswick is looking for a per diem Ultrasound Technician. One day per week, preferably Thursday. Astera is here to help patients overcome cancer and blood diseases, and improve their quality of life. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
  • Proficiency in urology ultrasonography field
  • ARDMS Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Operating imaging equipment
  • Reviewing images to be sure they are of good quality and helpful for diagnosis
  • Identifying normal and abnormal imaging results
  • Communicating a summary of the results to physicians or other health professionals
  • Alerting physicians to urgent problems
