About The Position

NEEDED: Ultrasound Technician LOCATION: 1000 Airbase Road, Pollock, LA, 71467 SCHEDULE: Eight (8) hours per month, Monday-Friday excluding Federal Holidays. QUALIFICATIONS: US Citizen Must have at least three or more years of experience. Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Must have graduated from an accredited school of radiology technology. ARRT verification of credentials (state licensed if applicable federal licensed). JOB DUTIES: Diagnostic imaging (e.g., abdominal, vascular, musculoskeletal) Portable/mobile ultrasound services at designated locations Image interpretation and reporting by certified sonographers and/or radiologists Receive training and orientation and comply with correctional techniques as they pertain to medical services. Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety. Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam. Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by ultrasonic imaging. Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special ultrasonic procedures. Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. High-quality ultrasound images in DICOM or agreed format of up to 10 studies per clinic, with any studies over the threshold will be charged an additional fee per study. Written diagnostic reports within 48 hours of procedure completion Compliance with HIPPA Minimum image resolution and clarity standards as per institutions guidelines Timely completion of procedures and reporting within agreed turnaround times Adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
