About The Position

Provides quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, and small parts exams for interpretation by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness. Maintains appropriate files, supplies, and equipment. Reports to the Ultrasound Supervisor and/or Radiology Director. Essential Functions Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, kneeling, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required
  • Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred
