The Ultrasound Technician provides high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound studies—including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, and small parts exams—to support accurate interpretation and diagnosis by the radiologist. This role performs sonographic procedures as ordered, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and ensures equipment is properly maintained for optimal accuracy and longevity. The technician delivers age‑appropriate patient care, serves as a resource to physicians and clinical staff regarding scan quality and appropriateness, and upholds departmental standards for safety, quality, and service. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology and hold ARRT or DMS certification, along with current BLS certification. Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment are essential.
