Under the direction of the Medical Director, and in conjunction with the Administrative Director of Imaging Services, the Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of Ultrasound. These duties include, but are not limited to the following: Uses independent judgment and necessary skills in acquiring diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the limited monitoring of the patient during procedures, assisting the radiologist with invasive examinations, keeping accurate records of ultrasound patients, performs cardiac related ultrasound, QA/QI studies, monitors operation of ultrasound equipment and notifies supervisor of any repair needs. Assists as needed in maintaining relationships with physicians and staff. Works as assigned with various ultrasound equipment in the Ultrasound Department and in a portable setting. Other duties as required.
