About The Position

As our Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer), you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care. Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians. To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support. Performs digital, color and duplex scanning. Selects the proper transducer, frequency and diameter for performance of the examination. Performs emergency exams at bedside. Demonstrates ability to recognize a diagnostic scan and render an initial interpretation to the Radiologist for interpretation. Verifies correct patient using two patient identifiers. Follows standard patient identifier of name and date of birth. Evaluates patient condition to see if they are capable of answering questions necessary for proper identification.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of sonography
  • Experience gained thru an accredited school of sonography or BE, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sono, upon hire
