About The Position

Ultrasound Tech Will Be Responsible For:  -Performing sonographic procedures, under the direction of the Director, Supervisor and Radiologist, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.   -Performing a variety of technical procedures that require sound judgement and initiative to apply ultrasound for diagnosis. -Performing color doppler vascular exams as well as abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts exams.   -Assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, which is inclusive of departmental, surgery, Cath Lab and portable exams.

Requirements

• Two year educational or specialized training program in sonography and must be registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and in a category, [OB/GYN; Abdomen; Vascular; Breast].
• Consistently shows proficiency in ultrasound exams.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience in vascular color doppler, Abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and Breast under the supervision of a Radiologist.
