Requirements

High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
ARDMS certification required : RDMS (Abdoemn or OB/GYN) required
Ability to perform general and vascular ultrasound studies independently as assigned.
Maintain continuing education as required by ARDMS
One (1–2) years of experience in general ultrasound

Nice To Haves

Vascular experience or trianing preferred
Experience performing basic or limited vascular studies
Additional ARDMS specialty credentials (AB, OB/GYN, or VT).

Responsibilities

Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations , including abdomen, small parts, soft tissue, and vascular studies
Operate ultrasound equipment at a technical level to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology.
Independently manage patient workflow, including patient preparation, positioning, and post-exam care.
Monitor and identify patient care needs and respond appropriately during examinations.
Provide patient education appropriate to the exam and patient understanding.
Maintain open and effective communication with physicians and clinical staff.
Complete examinations and documentation in a timely manner, ensuring quality standards are met.
Generate preliminary reports or technical impressions as appropriate per department protocol.
Maintain reliable attendance and professional presence at work.
