Job Summary and Qualifications An Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging ordered by doctors and helps with daily tasks to provide good patient care. TriStar Summit is a 230+ bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center. Requirements

Must be a graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
At least six months to one year of post-graduate experience is strongly preferred.
(RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
(RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

Perform various ultrasound imaging procedures as ordered by doctors.
Manage daily tasks to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic setting.
Be able to perform both stationary and portable exams.
Accurately follow doctors orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
Follow correct procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
Document patient history, including lab values, properly.
