Requirements

Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
If registry eligible upon hire, the technologist must become registered within one year of hire
Must maintain registry during employment
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Nice To Haves

ARDMS Registered in OB/GYN and AB
One year or more of Ultrasound Tech experience

Responsibilities

Operating the ultrasound scanners
Calling reports of exams
Transporting patients to and from the department
Scheduling patients
Assisting physicians with invasive procedures
Administering basic C.P.R.
Maintaining high-quality imaging
Having a thorough knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and positioning of patients
Coordinating patient prepping and scanning to maximize a smooth patient flow
Assisting the supervisor in the daily operation of the ultrasound department
