Position Summary: Our Ultrasound Technologists , provide a variety of exams on inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients to visualize internal anatomy functions. These technologists assist the physicians in identifying normal and abnormal results and communicate a summary of results found. Position details Status Part-Time Shift Days FTE / Hours 0.6 / 24 Schedule Thur & Fri: 7a - 5p + Every Other Wednesday 7a - 5p

Requirements

Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
ARDMS- required.
Basic Life Support (BLS)- required.
2+ years of experience working in a diagnostic ultrasound department- required.
Knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Must be able to pass background check.
We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing.
Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.

Nice To Haves

RVT- preferred.
2+ years of experience in vascular ultrasound- preferred.
1+ years of experience with Phillips US machines- preferred.
1+ years of experience with Trophon- preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic medical sonograms, acquiring appropriate and good quality images for interpretation by a supervising radiologist.
Ability to obtain and clearly relay an accurate and complete patient history to the supervising radiologist.
Perform the minimally required safety evaluations on the equipment by following established guidelines to detect problems.
Able to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members in a collaborative and professional manner.
Maintain necessary supplies.
Follow established department protocols to obtain the necessary images for a supervising radiologist.
Ability to adapt and adjust to the patient's abilities and limitations, when necessary, to obtain the required images.
Able to perform independently to complete a variety of exams.
Attend and participate in department meetings.
Participate in annual performance improvement education.
Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
