About The Position

Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the Ultrasound Technologist prepares for and operates ultrasound equipment following specific physicians orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for imaging of the breast, verifies patients identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, ensures exam is archived on the PACS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new departmental imaging. To perform a variety of ultrasound, color Doppler exams, and assists the radiologist with various invasive procedures.

Requirements

• Completion from an accredited ultrasound program.
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible required.
• Breast certification required.
• Registered ultrasound technologist or registry eligible technologist with one to two years of experience preferred.
• Must obtain registry within one (1) year of employment.
