  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exams are performed and establish rapport.
  • Instruct and communicate with patients and their families regarding the tests to be performed.
  • Prepare patients and the area for procedures by positioning patients and adjusting equipment controls.
  • Protect patients and team members by adhering to safety requirements and infection-control policies.
  • Use proper sterile techniques when performing invasive multimodality procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Report equipment issues to management or appropriate departments.
  • Assist in maintaining supplies inventory and ensure safety screening of individuals entering the department.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation for imaging procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certification in ARRT-BS Breast Sonography, ARRT-S Sonography, Musculoskeletal Sonography, or equivalent certifications from ARDMS or CCI.
  • Ability to explain procedures and put patients at ease.
  • Experience in providing quality training to new team members.
  • Ability to take call if required.
