About The Position

This position has been designated as safety sensitive and cannot be filled by a candidate who is a current user of medical marijuana. The role involves performing quality routine and specialized ultrasound procedures while recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. The individual will develop proficiency in performing diagnostic exams as directed by a Radiologist, troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment, explain procedures to patients and families, and ensure that the work area is properly maintained. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
• 2 years of direct work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience in Pediatric care.
• Certifications such as RDMS, AB, OB/GYN, RVT, VT from ARDMS or RT (S) or RT (VS) from ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic exams as directed by Radiologist.
• Recognize examination findings that may require immediate clinical response and notify the interpreting radiologist.
• Troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and families in an effective manner.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment and supplies.
• Ensure that work area is properly maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
