About The Position

The Breast Ultrasound Tech demonstrates HMNH's Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Breast Ultrasound Tech's responsibilities include the preparation and performing of all breast ultrasound procedures, patient care and paperwork necessary to complete the patient's file. Other duties include supply inventory, patient tracking and letters, and QA/QC duties as delegated by the Lead Mammography Technologist and Director. The Breast Ultrasound Tech also maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, improving organization performance, and infection control and safety standards.

Requirements

• ARDMS or ARRT accreditation in breast ultrasound
• Current BLS provider card
• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Two (2) years hospital or breast center experience performing breast ultrasound and assisting in invasive procedures
• General ultrasound skills of breast and small parts
• Ability to assist physician with invasive procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities
