About The Position

The Ultrasound Tech II performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent, anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intake via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• Licensure/Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI).
• One certification required based on OSF entity need (e.g., Abdomen – AB, Breast – BR, Fetal Echocardiography – FE, Obstetrics and Gynecology – OB/GYN, or Registered Vascular Technologist – RVT).
• American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques.

Benefits

• Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour.
