Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. The Ultrasound Tech I performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent, anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intake via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required.

  • Perform and record two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment.
  • Locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data.
  • Complete patient intake via collection of medical history.
  • Answer patient questions regarding imaging procedures.
  • Confer with providers on the results of imaging tests.
  • Collaborate to determine if additional images are required.
  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Diag Med Sonographer Reg OR Vascular Technologist Registered or Eligible for registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered as a Vascular Technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI).
  • Must take Registry exam within 6 months of hire and pass within 1 year, if not currently registered.
  • American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Previous clinical experience to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques.
  • $18,000 Sign on Bonus
