Responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis. Acquires and evaluates data while exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of clinical examinations. Proficient in breast ultrasound including special procedures of cyst aspiration, core biopsy and needle localization. In the absence of the Program Manager, may serve in a leadership role to ensure continuity of service. May attend meetings or participate in programs to improve operations or services. May assist with training of other personnel in new protocols. May perform ultrasound procedures at other facilities as patient volume requires. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.   • High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years breast ultrasound
  • American Heart Association recognized BLS
  • Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
  • Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS-BR) Breast Specialty within 6 months of hire
  • Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
