Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director, the Ultrasound Technologist - Medical is responsible for care and safety of patients undergoing ultrasound procedures; use and knowledge of ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic ultrasound images of the abdomen, pelvis, fetus, thyroid, breast, extremities, and other procedures for diagnosis of disorders and diseases. Under the direction of the Director of Radiology, Medical Director and Cardiologists, the Ultrasound Technologist -Cardiac is responsible for care and safety of patients undergoing cardiac ultrasound procedures; use and knowledge of ultrasound equipment to perform professional quality cardiac ultrasound procedures including stress echoes and transesophageal ultrasound studies.
