About The Position

The Ultrasound Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the Ultrasound Department, including scheduling, inventory control, U.S./RIS and direct and indirect patient care needs. Interviews, trains and evaluates Ultrasound staff. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for Ultrasonography
• Two years experience as an Ultrasonographer with experience in vascular, OB/GYN and abdominal procedures
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Current CPR (BCLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates schedules, interviews, trains and evaluates staff.
• Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS.
• Performs a variety of diagnostic Ultrasound procedures.
• Monitors equipment and department supplies.
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies.
