Performs diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. The Ultrasound supervisor will designate daily shift assignments being responsible to the needs of the hospital and its staffing requirements. Assist the Director with staff scheduling and time editing functions. The Ultrasound supervisor will provide guidance and support to Sonographers regarding importing and creation of medical records on media in order to meet all clinical and compliance requirements. The Ultrasound supervisor will oversee daily checklists and cleaning of equipment. Perform physical inspections of Ultrasound equipment. Inform Imaging Director of the need for service evaluation on Radiographic equipment. Supervises daily routine of all Sonography procedures and staffing including echo and vascular technologist to include daily shift and call schedules.
