Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologist, the ultrasound supervisor performs routine, emergent and specialized sonographic examinations
  • Provides patient care and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures
  • Maintains records and monitors quality control and quality assurance
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues in providing quality patient care
  • Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Ultrasound Department

Requirements

  • Post High School education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound
  • ARRT or Vascular Certification within 6 months, which is either RVT (through ARDMS) or RVS (through CCI)
  • BLS certification
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Management, problem solving and organizational skills
