About The Position

Chatuge Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time Ultrasound/Echo Technician to provide ultrasound and vascular studies according to established standards. The technician will be responsible for preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures, explaining procedures to patients, and applying gel to aid in sound transmission before using diagnostic equipment to create images of the patient's heart. The technician will also assist physicians in interpreting the data from the images and determining which images should be saved or discarded. Additionally, the technician will maintain images, reports, room, and equipment.

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification.
• Completion of a 2-year degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program is preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and cardiac disease recognition.
• Ability to position patients correctly for imaging.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from ARDMS.
• Completion of certificate programs specific to echocardiography.
