Performs exams based on patient anatomy and habitus. Assists Radiologists and other Physicians in the performance of exams and procedures that require a physician. Performs exams in all areas of the hospital such as portables on units, portables in ED and portables in OR. Prepares patients for interventional procedures. Maintains the integrity of a sterile field during procedures that require one

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Six months experience performing ultrasound in a clinical setting either training or working
• Completion of hospital-based ultrasound training program
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
